Holy Week Schedule
April 15, 2011
Please join us this week for these special services of Holy Week, as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us, and as we celebrate his victory over death on Easter:
Maundy Thursday (April 21) 7:00 pm worship with Holy Communion as we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples as he began the sacrament of Holy Communion. Several students will receive their first Communion that evening. The service ends with the stripping of the altar, remembering Jesus’ humiliation by the Roman soldiers following his arrest that evening.
Good Friday (April 22) 7:00 pm worship remembering Jesus’ death on the cross for us. Our service will be adapted from the tradition of the “Stations of the Cross.”
Easter Vigil – Our Saturday 5:15 pm service will be an adaptation of the Easter Vigil. We meet in the Fellowship Hall, as the disciples gathered in the Upper Room, remembering God’s faithfulness in the past and the certainty of God’s promises.
Easter Sunday (April 24) 7:00 am and 10:15 am – Join us for worship with Holy Communion as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Bring your Easter company with you! A light breakfast of coffee, rolls, and fruit will be served following our 7:00 AM service, until 8:45 AM, with a free-will donation to youth events.
